Haven’t you seen his many war documentaries? Here’s a 2 hour show about World War 2.

Why are you saying that? He’s been hanging out with fighting troops a lot during his tenure at top gear. (how sad to write that). There was the Range Rover Sport hunt, then there was the nicked Mitsubishi Evo hunt, then there was the Sensible Fiesta test, while Hammond and May looked at veterans racing, and the armament pulled out from Afghanistan... and these are only the one’s I recall from the top of my head. Oh, and he also likes to shoot rifles, Clarkson. So if there ever was a “military man” presenter on a car show, he’s it.

That doc on Youtube about the greatest raid was amazing. Sub crashing, horrible time fused awesomeness

It was a joke... the operation name is “Speed and Power,” the quintessential Clarksonism. It solves many things.

As you point out, he’s a supporter of the military. I was implying he was in the US military, and high ranking enough to name operations.

Yeah, I know he’s interested and supportive, etc.

Joke was that the operation is called Speed and Power, implying clarkson is secretly a general or something, with operation naming responsibilities.
